And the only supplier of China imports to offer full-service sales, product sourcing, development and production, factory-direct relationships, and door-to-door logistics.
Ben Zhang, Greater China's founder and CEO, was born and raised in mainland China, where he spent a few years as a manager in the China trade business in Shen Zhen. Ben came to the United States in 1989, graduated in Business from the University of Washington in Seattle in March 1995, became an American citizen, and once again took up his interest in import/export trade.
Greater China was founded in January of 1995 while Ben was still taking his last business course (Entrepreneurship, Business Policy 471) at UW. Starting with nothing more than a small number of China manufactured items at a trade show in the spring of 1996, Ben won the business of a major West Coast bank distributor who requested pricing for over a quarter million pieces of seven different items.
Ben is a true believer in the value of continuing education. In 2001, Ben completed a 9-month Management Program at the University of Washington. Because he found that his learning experience was of tremendous benefit to the business, he later spent tens of thousands of dollars sending his top manager through the same program. In 2006, Ben enrolled for classes in the University of Phoenix MBA program. Continuing to raise the standard, both personally and professionally, the following year Ben was accepted by Cornell University in their EMBA program. Most recently, in 2008, Ben was accepted by Harvard Business School to their OPM (Owner and President Management) 3-year executive management program and has already completed the first round of courses.
Over a decade and several thousand successful import projects later, Greater China has become a Top 40 supplier to the promotional marketing industry. Our expertise in product sourcing, project management and global logistics provides companies with unique items, accurate timelines, and the best market value.
