Retail On-Pack Success Case Study
Greater China's client was working on a channel-marketing on-pack promotion for a major retailer and leading consumer brand cleaning product through the brand's advertising agency. A number of items were considered, including sponges, a sand timer, cleaning brush, and cleaning cloth. Greater China worked with the distributor to understand the brand, its identity and value in the marketplace, as well as the need for a custom product that was capable of being delivered, from scratch, in 70 days. A total of 400,000 cleaning cloths in the brand's primary pms color and brand logo were produced in China in 40 days, in time for inspection, product testing, and delivery. Packaging and folding allowed the product to meet on-pack dimensional specifics. The total delivery time to the U.S. was 64 days, including shipment to the retailer regional distribution centers; the success of the promotion led to a 300,000 pc re-order.
